Further to the Arboricultural Report (Tree Survey) undertaken by WJ Kents of every tree within the development, the Village Association (VA) undertook a tender process of local tree surgeons to compete the work needed on the VA owned and managed trees. Expertrees were the most competitively priced and following background checks, were commissioned to complete the work, the majority of which took place during August.

Work ranged from felling two diseased and dangerous trees earlier in the year to raising low canopies and thinning crowns across 140 trees.  A few trees will be picked up later in the year where birds are nesting and discussions regarding work required to some of the trees in Alexander Crescent is ongoing.

The Tree Survey covered all trees on the development and was shared with CBCT, but the VA did not undertake the work to their trees, such as those on the cricket green, closest to the rear of the Brigade Place properties.  We hope that this work will be undertaken in the near future to help maintain the look and safety of the trees across the development.

It is the first time that we have engaged Expertrees, and we are very pleased with the work they have done.  The next VA Tree Survey will be undertaken in 2025.
