RUBBISH CLEARANCE
In our last newsletter we highlighted that there had been a significant increase in fly-tipping in The Village. While we are pleased to see that many residents have removed rubbish from front gardens and by garages, there remained a large amount of dumped rubbish in common areas. In March this year the VA, with Acacia’s help, removed the majority of the fly-tipped items from common areas. Having to do this incurs fees and costs which impacts us all and we ask residents to ple

CONSIDERATE PARKING
With more than 350 homes in The Village and an increasing number of vehicles than the parking areas can accommodate, we know that parking can be a daily challenge.
| Please remember: ● Keep pavements clear so everyone can pass safely. ● Don’t block driveways or park too close to junctions. ● Park neatly and close to the kerb to make the best use of space. ● Use your driveway or garage whenever you can. ● Do not park on double yellow lines or in areas not designed for parkin

THE VILLAGE ENVIRONMENT
This year marks the 22nd anniversary since The Village was completed!
After over two decades of British weather, many of the original fittings are beginning to show their age and are in a little need of some TLC. To keep the Village looking its best and to protect the long-term value of our homes, the VA is encouraging everyone to take a fresh look at their property’s exterior. We know that many of us have busy lives but if you have a moment, we kindly ask you to check your

BINS AWAY ON COLLECTION DAY!
On rubbish and recycling days please collect your emptied bins and tidy them away as soon as possible. This is as a courtesy to other residents and to help The Village to remain an enjoyable place to live and work. Also, please lock the lids of your green food waste bins at all times. Not only does this prevent foxes from stealing the contents, spreading germs and littering our environment, it also prevents lids becoming loose, flying away and causing a hazard.

Fly Tipping
Over the last year there has been a significant increase in fly-tipping. When fly-tipping starts - it rapidly spreads, and it does not take long for an enormous pile of rubbish to collect. Even an old Christmas tree, a broken microwave or an old car battery left outside a property can encourage random fly-tipping. The VA has already removed many fly-tipped items which incurs fees and costs. This therefore impacts us all. To avoid this, for larger domestic waste, please use th

Zero Tolerance
The Board of The Village Association wishes The Village to remain a safe, secure and enjoyable living, working and social environment for all. Mental health is as important as physical health. Sadly, over the last few years there has been a marked increase in unreasonable behaviour towards those providing our services, residents and visitors to The Village. The VA fully supports a zero-tolerance approach towards all unreasonable behaviour and expects residents, workers and

Capital Expenditure
As highlighted at the 2024 AGM the VA's focus during 2025 has been to replenish the financial reserves and to plan for maintenance and repair work needed in 2026. Apart from some small minor repairs we have therefore only carried out maintenance where it was considered the work required was critical or which presented a safety risk. Work highlighted in the 2023 tree survey has been completed and some additional tree work carried out in Stirling Drive. If residents or any of
