Safety and security in The Village is a priority. The CCTV system installed in The Village now plays a major role in protecting our neighbourhood.

Commissioned by The Village Association and operated by the Wardens, The Village CCTV network is highly advanced and unique to a residential development like ours.

Initially featuring a single CCTV camera, the system has now grown into a wider network to further deter and prevent crime. The addition of ANPR earlier this year, which registers all number plates of vehicles entering and leaving The Village, regularly enables the Wardens to pass vehicle information and evidence to the Police to further control criminal and anti-social behaviour.

Following strong support from Boundary Point residents, a third camera has been added to the CCTV network, covering the area around Weston Drive and Coldstream Road.

For additional security, the Wardens use BWV (Body Worn Video) technology. All incidents involving the Wardens are recorded and evidence of criminal activity or anti-social behaviour is immediately passed to the Police.

The Village CCTV system is

· Fully active 24 hours a day, 7-days a week.

· Fully compliant with all codes of practice.

The Wardens will continue to work closely with the Police and regularly provide high quality video evidence of incidents.

If you have any questions about the CCTV network, ANPR or BWV (Body Worn Video) then please email office@thevillageassociation.org or villagewarden@gmail.com.
