Christmas Trees

Once the festivities are over it will be time to dispose of your real Christmas Tree, if you have one. There are a number of ways to responsibly dispose of your tree.

Take it to the Caterham Community Recycling Centre in Chaldon Road, open daily except Thursdays. It will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

You can put it in your Garden Waste Bin, if you have one although it may need to be cut to fit in the bin.

If you have a very small tree you can cut it up and put it in your food waste bin.

Alternatively, old trees can be collected by Lanacre Tree Care early on 4th January in return for a donation of at least £10 per tree to Naomi House and Jacksplace, hospices for children and young adults.

You need to donate via www.naomihouse.org.uk and then email a copy of your donation receipt to simon@lanacre.co.uk by 3rd January so that they can give you details of their collection arrangements.

Acacia will not be taking away any old Christmas Trees so please use one of these options to dispose of your tree responsibly and considerately.
