Residents may have seen Ade Tullet of Goldstar Brickwork working on sections of the estate boundary wall from Tesco towards Green Lane at the back of the estate.

The sections are the responsibility of the VA and the work took place over several weeks from late September through to the end of October.

Significant amounts of vegetation growing in the wall have been removed and the damage has been repaired including re-pointing, re-rendering and repainting where necessary. This work has been signed off now and these sections of the boundary wall have a new lease of life. There are significant sections of the boundary wall that are in private ownership and remain the responsibility of those private owners.

This was a substantial maintenance project, but the good news was that the work was completed within the planned budget resulting in a significant saving for residents.
