Enhancing Road Signs

We have made good progress with our plan to inform residents and visitors about the history of The Village by placing a fresh road sign in each road, with some detail of the history of the person, regiment, etc, after whom the road was named.

The Council have given permission for this, and we have been able to obtain sponsorship of fifteen road signs, from generous local businesses, the Parish Council and Caterham Barracks Community Trust.

We are planning an unveiling ‘event’ in late July, during which the first four new signs will be unveiled. All residents will be invited to this event. The other road signs will be installed soon after.
