Fifteen new road signs have been installed at various locations in The Village, formerly Caterham Barracks and home to the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards. The new road signs were installed to reflect the rich heritage of the estate.

The costs for the design, purchase and installation of the 15 signs were sponsored by local organisations. The project was managed by two Village residents.

The first four signs were officially unveiled on 31st July. The unveiling day event was attended by Village residents and guests of the Village Association (VA). The unveiling statements/citations read out at each unveiled road sign are available at www.thevillageassociation.org/heritageroadsigns along with a slideshow which details the day.

The VA’s thanks goes to everyone involved in this project.
