Sunday 31st July - Road signs unveiling

To further enhance the heritage of The Village, new road signs will shortly be installed in each of the Village’s 12 roads. The new signs will give more detail of the historical background to the origin of the road name.

Four new road signs will be officially unveiled on Sunday 31st July from 12 noon. Village residents are invited to join the unveiling event by being outside the Arc at 12 noon on that day.

There will be a welcome message from the Village Association’s Chairman, a procession to 4 of the new signs and short speeches about the people and regiments after whom the signs were named. The event will take approximately one hour.

Please join the Village Association and guests for the processional event if you can. We are all proud of the heritage of The Village and the new signs will enhance our home and business environment.
