Our Wardens continue to address issues including inconsiderate parking, anti-social behaviour, the security of property, health and safety issues when they arise, monitoring the ANPR and CCTV systems and liaising with local police and other services when needed. Thanks to Alasdair and Matt for helping to keep residents and users of The Village as safe as possible.

In the last Newsletter we reported the issue of large groups of non-resident youths who were gathering in The Village causing alarm and distress to residents. Following discussion with the Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Team and other authorities, Tandridge Police put in place dispersal orders over several weekends in May following which these large groups of youths seem to have dispersed or no longer frequent The Village.

We are aware that groups of youths gather in the Green Lane area and acknowledge that their behaviour is a nuisance and is distressing for residents whose properties back on to that area. Unfortunately, as this is not VA owned land the Wardens are not able to intervene or report incidents on behalf of residents. There is still an element of anti-social behaviour within The Village and the Wardens make regular reports to Tandridge Police and, when required, provide CCTV and Body Worn Video evidence so the Police can take necessary action.

We urge anyone who witnesses any type of anti-social behaviour to please make an official report to the police via the Surrey Police online reporting scheme.
